Persons taking part in family rambles do so at their own risk. Parents/adults are responsible for themselves and the safety & welfare of their children at all times. Neither the Family Rambling Group, the walk leader nor the Ramblers' Association can accept any responsibility for any loss or injury sustained by any adult or child taking part in family walks.
Walking along roads cannot always be avoided. Parents/adults are responsible for themselves & the safety of their children. Please keep your own children close to you, and under your direct supervision near roads (whether or not there is a footpath or verge). Follow any instructions of the walk leader, back marker or other person appointed by the leader.
Use the Green Cross Code.
Parents/adults should bring any first aid items they feel necessary for their own personal use.
For comfort and safety, everyone needs suitable footwear and clothing. However you don’t need expensive footwear for these walks! Flat lace-up shoes, trainers, walking boots or wellies are all fine, so long as you don’t mind getting them wet and muddy. Please bring something warm, and waterproof coats.
Please observe the Country Code.
